Bagnalls Helping Yorkshire Get Ready for the Tour De France

Bagnalls | 1 July

Painting lamposts and painting road bollards will certainly help guide the way for the world class cycling teams set to travel across Yorkshire this weekend.
Bradford Council came up with the novel idea of painting all the bollards on the Keighley Road to Silsden. The bollards have been painted in the jersey colours which are worn by different cyclists throughout this famous race. The polka dot jersey for the best climber and the green jersey for most consistent finisher – a jersey prized by Mark Cavendish. The infamous yellow jersey, maillot jeune, is worn by the rider with the lowest aggregated time after each stage and British cyclist, Chris Froome of Team Sky, is a favourite to retain the title in 2014.
