Great Western Hospital

Working for the Facilities Management division of Carillion, Bagnalls delivers the on-site maintenance painting and decorating at this busy hospital. We deliver works ranging from specialist coating works to theatres through to general redecoration of public areas and corridors.

Our on-site team has been dedicated to the project for over eighteen months, making sure that not only are the painting works delivered on time but the project is completed with minimal disruption to the hospital staff.  Of course, we also make sure that patient comfort care is not adversely affected in any way and adhere to all the hospital’s strict policies and procedures with regard to site tidiness and cleanliness.

Communication is another key factor in the delivery of our service and the lead foreman makes sure that he introduces himself to the hospital staff concerned in advance of any works taking place and advises them of what will be undertaken and the expected programme time.  Where required, we work in line with the hospital’s daily work commitments, painting in communal waiting rooms and corridors during normal working hours and decorating out of hours in more sensitive areas.

Of particular importance is being able to resource and meet the tight timescales required for theatre refurbishments.  Although we only deliver the painting works we have to work in line with other contractors to ensure that a theatre can be returned to full use within the designated 2-week timescale.
