Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)

Bagnalls was one of the first UK painting contractors to commit to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS). We have achieved Platinum status, the highest level of certification possible, demonstrating that over 90% of our site personnel hold CSCS cards. Our customers can therefore be assured that the people undertaking their work have a good level of safety awareness as well as technical competence.

Quality ISO 9001

Our quality management systems are well established and are regularly audited by BSI against ISO 9001:2008.

Our systematic yet versatile approach to our customers' requirements delivers time and cost savings as well as reduced waste and high customer satisfaction levels.

Environmental ISO 14001

Our Environmental Management System conforms to ISO 14001:2004 and is externally audited by BSI.

We are continuously developing our environmental management systems in order to deliver the long term aims of sustainability requested by our customers.

NHSS 19A

We are one of only a few industrial painting specialists that have successfully completed the external audit to become accredited to NHSS 19A - the National Highways Sector Scheme for Quality Management in Highway Works, for the corrosion protection of ferrous materials by industrial coatings. Our ICATS approved specialist industrial painters are able to undertake projects to the exacting standards required by NHSS 19A. We have extensive experience of specialist surface preparation techniques and applying industrial coatings. This certification validates our capability to customers such as the Highways Agency and Network Rail.

Constructionline

Bagnalls has been registered with Constructionline since its inception and thereby the auditable standards required by bodies such as Local Authorities and Government departments.

CHAS

Bagnalls is CHAS accredited across all our branches. As a company with safety at the centre of all operations, we exceed the assessment standards required of us so that CHAS members and users alike can be assured that works we undertake are being done safely.

This accreditation assures a wide variety of customers in both the public and private sectors, of our health and safety competence.

Achilles Utility Vendor Database (UVDB)

Bagnalls has been registered with Achilles UVDB for many years against the standard assessment for painting, decorating and specialist coatings.

In addition, we also hold the higher standard known as UVDB Verify status. To meet this standard, both office and site based operations are externally audited against health, safety, quality and environmental criteria.

Achilles Link Up

Bagnalls registration to Link Up shows our company's commitment to maintaining a Safety Management System and safe systems of work that are specific to the risks faced when working in a railway environment.

We are one of a few specialist painting contractors who have achieved "Link-Up Qualified via Audit" standard. This higher qualification status confirms that we have a Competence Management System that sponsors employees to work in the rail environment. Our Competence Management System monitors crucial safety, training and quality practices required by the Rail industry.

Exor

Bagnalls are an approved Exor Supplier. This means we have been vetted to assure customers of our compliance to quality, health & safety and environmental systems.

ContractorPlus

Bagnalls has successfully achieved ContractorPlus accreditation. Customers who recognise ContractorPlus are assured that their contractor has robust systems which offer total compliance to current health and safety legislation. The accreditation is managed by Safety Management and Monitoring Services Limited, a business led Safety, Health and Environmental consultancy.

Dulux Contract Partnership

Bagnalls was one of the first painting contractors audited in the UK to become a contract partner. Bagnalls and ICI Dulux work together with customers to achieve partnership objectives. Together, we undertake site surveys, develop tailored specifications and colour schemes, create benchmarks for quality and review performance against pre-agreed targets.

Crown Paints Smart Maintenance

Bagnalls is 'Smart Maintenance' compliant. This means that we work closely with Crown Paints to deliver the best value solution to a customer's maintenance requirement. The aims of smart maintenance are to improve quality, ensure cost predictability, reduce prior to paint repairs, extend maintenance cycles and share best practice.
