Bagnalls was approached by Jessops to provide a proposal to repaint all previously painted surfaces on over 50 of their stores across the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands. Our national coverage was a key element in their choosing Bagnalls as a single point of contact for their national painting programme. Several branches of Bagnalls were involved in the successful delivery of this project.

With many Jessops stores being located in town and city centres, several permits to work had to be requested through the local councils therefore planning and scheduling for this project was paramount to its success.

External surfaces were repainted in the corporate colour scheme and most work took place whilst stores remained open to the public. Great effort was made to minimise disruption to both staff, customers and the general public which was successfully achieved.

Special arrangements had to be made for some stores to be painted on a night shift basis due to their location and where necessary mobile elevated working platforms were utilised in order to paint high level areas.

Jessops is the largest photographic retailer in the UK. The first store was opened in Leicester in 1935. Jessops now has 230 stores with their Head Office still located in Leicester.
