Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust Internal Painting

Bagnalls has completed several projects for the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. Projects include wards, corridors and external painting at the City Hospital Campus as well as a ward at the Queens Medical Centre. These projects were undertaken as part of the Trust’s deep clean programme which continues over the next couple of years.

All ward painting was completed on a six day shutdown period and involved initial cleaning of all surfaces prior to painting. Due to the timescale allowed, a team of up to ten Bagnalls directly employed painters worked on these wards to ensure completion dates were met for the wards to be back in operation.

All painting work was completed during normal working hours therefore in the interests of health and safety, whilst painting busy corridors, our operatives coned off small sections from the public.

Johnstone’s hygienic coatings were used on surfaces at the City Hospital Campus whilst Rustoleum products were specified at the Queens Medical Centre. The Queens Medical Centre also required a sterile wash down by our operatives on all surfaces upon completion of painting.

Bagnalls also project managed the joinery work, which included removing fixtures and fittings and installing new worktops. On both sites this involved close liaison with many other trades such as flooring and electrical contractors who were working alongside our operatives.
