Bagnalls completed the decoration works to a new build, city centre flagship shopping mall and residential accommodation in Cardiff. The painting works at St David's shopping centre, took a total of 18 months to complete and commenced in May 2008 and finished in late October 2009.

The package of works included all decoration works to the extensive new build "centre piece" retail shopping mall, 300 residential apartments, car parking facilities and the retail flagship store for John Lewis, at the southern end of the site. The project was completed on behalf of Land Securities via main contractor Bovis Lend Lease.

Bagnalls dedicated a team of directly employed site personnel including 3 foremen and 11 painters, including 1 final year apprentice, from our local Cardiff branch, throughout the new build project. All personnel were time served painters registered under the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme), a pre-requisite for working on a new build site. Bagnalls has achieved Platinum CSCS certification which means over 90% of our site based personnel are registered CSCS cardholders.

The Bagnalls team worked alongside a number of other trades and in cooperation with the client to ensure that all areas were completed ready for the opening to the general public on Thursday 21st October, 2009.
