Decorator

painting servicesThe range of talents required by a Decorator is vast and developments in painting services such as spray painting must be embraced by a forward thinking painting contractor. Painting and decorating is a highly skilled job and many of Bagnalls’ personnel have undergone a 3 year apprenticeship to achieve the high standards required by the industry to become a craftsmen painter and decorator.

At our bespoke training academy located in Doncaster, our personnel are taught the latest requirements in painting and decorating in order to develop their decorator skills, this includes paper hanging, cutting in, surface preparation and glossing. Bagnalls made the investment in its own training facility to ensure that we could trial and test any innovations in decorator products such as brushes, rollers and spray equipment as well as painting services including the testing of new water bourne paints which emit lower VOC (volatile organic compounds) levels and meet the latest demands in environmental legislation for 2007 and 2010.

No matter what painting services are required by our customers we are able to source the most suitable products to meet their needs that is how we successfully work as a painter and decorator for such a diverse range of customers from the National Trust and English Heritage to Severn Trent Water and National Grid.

Spray painting is a technique often used on New Build projects where time is of the essence as well as a cost effective solution required to mist coat new plaster. It is also used where intricate detailing means conventional brushing or rolling would not get the coverage required. Spray painting is also used in industrial environments where an even finish and specific wet film thickness is required, normally on metal surfaces.

Bagnalls will continue to invest its provision of painting services and embrace new technologies in the form of spray painting in order to enhance our painters’ skills and develop the Decorators of today and the future.
