Developing the skills of young people has always been at the centre of what we do.

We operate a 4 year apprenticeship scheme, run in conjunction with the Construction Industry Training Board's (CITB) construction apprenticeship scheme. Apprenticeships combine site based practical learning with college based training.

We take our apprentices a stage further by supplementing their skills training at our Painting Academy where they receive personal support and training from a master craftsman with over 40 years experience.

Many of our apprentices have succeeded in both national and regional competitions, including those organised by the industry's trade association, the Painting & Decorating Association (PDA). Often, this is just the start of their career with Bagnalls as many apprentices go on to be promoted to Foremen, Contracts Managers as well as Branch Managers and Directors.
