As you may expect, we have close working relationships with all our major materials suppliers including their specification and technical teams. We regularly work with our supply chain to provide our customers with technical advice, bespoke specifications and colour consultancy.
We recognise that having contractors working on your premises can disrupt normal operations and can feel intrusive. At Bagnalls, we take care at the outset to ensure that painting and decorating projects are planned to minimise any operational disruption and that only the most appropriate operatives are assigned to the project. So, whether we are working in a prison, hospital, hotel or school, you can be assured that disruption will be kept to an absolute minimum and that you will have painters and decorators engaged that have experience of your particular environment.
Our 500 directly employed operatives have an average length of service with the company of ten years. In itself, this statistic is one that any company would be proud of, however, in our industry, this is remarkable. Our customers are comforted therefore, by the experience and training carried by our workforce that sets us apart from any other. The projects we undertake vary in size from £5000 to £5,000,000 including markets as diverse as retail, education, health, social housing, defence, leisure, manufacturing and distribution. Bagnalls is a specialist in both decorative painting of commercial premises as well as industrial coatings.
All projects, both large and small, are diligently executed to ensure that our customers' wishes are fulfilled and changes are rapidly responded to. Our Special Projects division takes our capabilities as a painting and decorating contractor to another level for customers with national painting programmes, who require a single point of contact and a consistent approach across their property or asset portfolios. Organisations such as Marks and Spencer, BOC and National Grid have all benefitted from this national service.. We are able to bring teams of people together with the appropriate skills and experience to meet the demands of these customers, nationwide. This has resulted in real benefits to the customer such as demonstrable cost savings, extended maintenance lifecycles, cost certainty and the comfort of knowing that excellent health and safety performance underpins delivery on site.
Prior to Paint Repairs
Our project teams ascertain the need for pre-paint repairs during their site surveys. They advise on the most effective solution, in terms of time, cost and effectiveness, for each situation. Any necessary repairs will be undertaken either by Bagnalls own employees or, on occasion, by appointing one of our supply chain partners who have successfully completed our rigorous sub-contractor approval process.
Many of our operatives are trained and experienced in the use of resin based timber repair systems, which:
- Avoid the need for costly window replacement
- Reduce and prevent in situ wood decay
- Extend the redecoration cycle
- Improve the durability of the substrate and,
- Reduce future maintenance costs.
Our customers in the North of England have the added benefit of a dedicated joinery workshop at our Middlesbrough branch, which allows us to manufacture bespoke joinery as well as general joinery repairs.
