Earlier this year Bagnalls’ Community Paintbrush scheme was asked to support this year’s production of the West Yorkshire Scouts County Gang Show.
Scouts and cast ranged from just six years old to 25 years old. We donated tins of black paint, sundries and sheeting to help create the scenery and stage sets. The production, held at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax, was a big success with a mix of singing, dancing, comedy and laughter, performed by the amateur cast of scouts from across the county, many of whom stepped up onto the stage for the first time to perform in front of an audience of over 1000 people a night. The cast were supported by a volunteer crew of producers, technical and creative scout leaders and helpers who came together to create a little bit of magic and gave these young people an experience of a life time whilst also raising money for good causes
