The Overpool community centre in Ellesmere Port has been given a new lease of life, thanks to the combined efforts of the local councillor and Bagnalls. Councillor Diane Roberts donated some of her annual member budget to upgrade the facilities while Bagnalls, working with Cheshire West & Chester Council for community benefit, kindly repainted the outside frontage of the building as part of its Community Paintbrush scheme.
Councillor Roberts said: “I am delighted to see the improvements to the centre. Now it is completed, it looks fantastic and remarkably different from before. I know users of Overpool community centre have warmly welcomed the improvement.” The local Bagnalls’ Branch Director, Steve Bethell said; “We try to give back to the community in as many ways as we can. We have strong, local roots and have been able to offer many people long term employment opportunities. Re-painting projects such as the community centre are just another way of us showing our commitment to the communities in which we work and live.”
