Bagnalls were recipients of three winning awards at the 25th Anniversary of the Painting & Decorating Association (PDA) Annual Trophy awards. Bagnalls were awarded the winning trophies for Apprentice, Decorative and Industrial categories.
Kris Pilmer was announced as the PDA Apprentice Winner, 2013. The judges commended the way in which Kris, a second year apprentice at the Newcastle branch, interpreted the chosen design, the accuracy of his setting out and his ability to precisely cut in.
Our Leeds branch were recognised for the highly decorative work undertaken at the University of Leeds’ Great Hall, a grade II listed building, built in 1849. A wide range of Crown’s historical palette of paints were used to highlight the relief in the plasterwork.
Our Ellesmere Port branch were applauded for the complex industrial painting bridge project at London’s Canary Wharf. Specialist Jotun coatings were used to dramatically transform the bridge into artist Sinta Tantra’s vision, titled “A Beautiful Sunset Mistaken for a Dawn”.
