The Leeds branch of Bagnalls receives regular praise for their dedication and commitment to delivering quality workmanship at the University of Leeds and the winning project at this year’s PDA Trophy awards is testament to this positive accolade. Bagnalls dedicated site team undertook the highly decorative painting works to the Great Hall, a grade II listed building, built in 1849. The project involved the use of colour to give effect to the ornate plasterwork which was further enhanced using gold leaf and gold paint. Complex scaffolding was used to access all areas of the ceiling and walls safely.
Garry Coble, Branch Director added “I am proud of all the work my team carries out at the University and this project epitomises our capability to support the breadth of requirements at the University from highly decorative work in the Great Hall to gold leafing the dome on the Leeds School of Music building.”
The PDA Trophy Awards is an annual event which exhibits the best in class in the painting and decorating industry. Bagnalls are proud to have won the Decorative category.
