Bagnalls, the specialist industrial coatings contractor, helped put the finishing touches to the newly refurbished Nottingham Station in time for Monday morning’s rush hour.
The specialist painting project started last January and involved Bagnalls undertaking a wide range of industrial painting works across the station. Most notably were the works to the Porte Cochere (pictured) where specially trained Bagnalls’ painters prepared the steel by Ultra High Pressure washing before applying a four coat paint system.
A team of up to 21 directly employed painters, led by a dedicated Site Supervisor worked tirelessly to ensure the works were completed on time. Bernie Smith, Bagnalls Contracts Manager, was responsible for the management of this industrial coatings project and said “I am extremely proud of what the team has achieved. These painters have been asked to go that extra mile, many have worked away from home almost every week, for over a year, and it is their dedication that has made this project a success. I would also like to thank my colleagues from other branches for their great assistance when needed. I am extremely grateful to all concerned for making this task somewhat less daunting knowing that I had their support and Bagnalls were working as a group to deliver this complex project”.
A Vinci Construction Manager added “The Bagnalls Boys, as they are called here, have done a great job and they have a great outlook towards Health and Safety. Kevin has been a breath of fresh air, his attitude towards safety and production is incredible and when questioned his answer is always, Can’t do enough for a good client”.
Furthermore, Bagnalls received four awards for our commitment to health and safety during the project.
