Meanwood Valley Urban Farm is a registered charity and was established in 1980 to provide services to inner city communities. From the Farm’s humble beginnings, operating from two old caravans, it has grown into a 24 acre site. It is now a working farm with a wide variety of animals and a major centre for community and environmental work.
Land Securities recognise the value in building relationships at a local level with charities and community organisations in the areas where they operate. Their shopping centres all have local partners with whom they work closely to maximise exposure, awareness and fundraising.
As a contract partner working with Land Securities on a number of projects nationally, Bagnalls were more than happy to get involved with a recent project at Meanwood Valley Urban Farm. We donated paint, materials and labour through our Community Paintbrush scheme to assist with the decorative refurbishment of the community training room and the volunteers’ room.
The Bagnalls volunteers overcame the ferocious heat and terrifying guinea pigs to deliver a quality finish to the delight of all involved.
