Bagnalls has donated paint to a secondary school project in Malawi, for a second time, through our Community Paintbrush scheme.
Wishart Maling and Chris Tamingha, both natives of Malawi, popped into our York office to collect some paint to help redecorate the school. Our Leeds, York and Doncaster branches all took time out to search their stores for water based paints which could be used by the school. However, the generosity didn’t stop there because when the Doncaster branch of Dulux heard of our need, they also donated about 20 cans of paint, which were mis-tints etc.
The array of paint colours will certainly capture the imagination of the students in Malawi. We hope that once it arrives at its end destination that the paint brightens up the school and other local community buildings. Wishart said “Bagnalls have again been so generous with this donation of paint. Our resources are very limited and we would not be able to buy such volumes of paint to redecorate the school.”
We look forward to seeing the finished buildings once the paint has reached its end destination, some 8,000 miles away.
