Bagnalls had a great day in London on Thursday as we picked up several awards for painting and decorating projects undertaken in 2014, at the annual Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) Trophy awards.
The works varied from a very highly commended certificate being awarded for highly decorative work at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre to a highly commended certificate for a major new build painting project at Bristol’s Southmead Hospital. Other projects included decorative painting works at Port Sunlight Village Trust and two highly decorative projects for Leeds City Council at Morley Town Hall and Leeds Civic Hall.
The major win of the day however, was the specialist industrial coating works undertaken at Nottingham Hub Station. Bagnalls were the main painting contractor, working for VINCI Construction/ Taylor Woodrow on this immense eighteen month project. The works ranged from industrial coatings to steelwork to ornate, decorative works to Victorian areas of the station. The client who also attended the awards ceremony, held at Plaisterers’ Hall in London, said “Bagnalls demonstrated that they were not only an expert painting contractor but also very capable in site safety and customer care. This project was very complex, with many trades being managed across the railway station and Bagnalls certainly made working with them, both straightforward and enjoyable. I am very pleased that they have been recognised for the excellent painting works they delivered.”
Well done to all the branches that took part, especially our excellent teams of foremen and painters who do all the hard work!
