You won’t bee-lieve the extent of Bagnalls’ customer service.
Bagnalls had to take extra precautions whilst working on the Queensmead Estate in St John’s Wood. A resident, with a top floor garden, keeps a bee-hive colony boasting over 250,000 bees.
Bagnalls were contracted to undertake structural repairs and decorative maintenance to the eight storey blocks on the estate, and keeping true to our customer centric service, high safety priority and Bear Grylls-esque sense of a challenge, we put in place special measures for this unique site hazard.
A bespoke risk assessment and detailed method statement were produced, plus on site toolbox talks undertaken to ensure safe working in this unusual environment. Special PPE (personal protective equipment) was ordered, usually reserved for bee-keepers, and distributed to operatives working on and near the site. Full training was given on how to wear the suit and masks properly whilst working on the roof areas. The customer was very happy with the measures taken to not only protect our own operatives but to consider the needs of the resident and his bees.
