A few weeks ago, the mural in the playground of Baildon Church of England primary school was looking very tired and in need of some tender loving care. Miss Brace, the art leader, decided to make it fun for the children and set up a competition. The child who created the best design would win and be able to paint the wall with a professional artist who is coming to visit the school just before Christmas. Lots of white paint was needed to go over what was there before! The new theme for the mural is landmarks around Baildon, that make Baildon a special place to live.
Bagnalls were happy to help the pupils at the local primary school paint a new blank canvas, with the support of our Community Paintbrush scheme and our supply chain partner, PPG Johnstones. Together, we provided the paint and the labour to paint the walls white………now the playground is ready for the budding artists to paint their mural – we can’t wait to see the end result!
Keep watching…….we will post a picture of the final masterpiece as soon as possible!
