The simple gift of giving trees will mean so much to the people of Liverpool, especially those who walk down the newly tree lined path in Stanley Park. It was a beautiful, sunny day when volunteers stepped up to Carillion’s request to do the hard work of planting over fifty cherry blossom trees. Alison Valentine, Carillion’s Community Regeneration Manager, led the teams to deliver and plant £2000 worth of trees, donated by contractors, such as Bagnalls, as part of the Carillion’s Sustainability week. Not only will the trees offer environmental benefits but are part of a bigger plan to rejuvenate Stanley Park for future generations to enjoy, including Liverpool fans walking through the park to Anfield on match days.
Well done to all those who “dug deep”, both for the tree donation and then to plant them!!
