Bagnalls were the winners of the 2016-17 Johnstone’s Community Award. The award acknowledges our commitment to the local community in Liverpool, where we have supported several projects, through our Community Paintbrush scheme. These include repainting and redecorating at Zoe’s Place, planting trees in Stanley Park and supporting charitable events undertaken by contractors, who are also working on the new build Royal Liverpool Hospital, managed by main contractor, Carillion.
Stephen Bagnall, Group Managing Director, received the award on behalf of the company, at the Awards evening, held at Oulton Hall, West Yorkshire. “We have always worked closely with customers to improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of their communities. I am proud to receive this on behalf of all my colleagues who have helped support our Community Paintbrush scheme.”
As winners of the 2017 Community Award, Bagnalls will be working alongside PPG on a makeover at the Kentish Town City Farm. The farm provides animal therapy sessions for people with disabilities, hosts clubs for disadvantaged children in the local area, and teaches children how to care for animals. Let’s hope a touch of paint brightens up the facilities for all who use them!
