As a member of The 5% club, an energetic movement of employers focused on creating momentum behind the recruitment of those in ‘earn and learn’ positions, Bagnalls are firm supporters of apprentices. After all, they are the future of our business!
In our bespoke training facility, we nurture our apprentices, helping them to learn and progress as decorators and as individuals.
This is why we were absolutely thrilled to learn that our own Adam Knowles from Ellesmere Port had been named the 2018 Family Business United Apprentice of the Year back in June, and then again, when he won the senior section of the PDA Apprentice paperhanger of the year, alongside another Bagnalls Apprentice, Lewis Boyle, who won the junior section of the competition.
Now we are celebrating again because, despite strong competition, we’ve also won the Apprenticeship category of the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards!, sponsored by Engie.
This trio of victories all in one year is a massive achievement for Bagnalls, speaking volumes about our investment in the training and development of our young employees.
We can’t wait to see what next year has in store for our amazing apprentices and for our business.
