Lewis, a 3rd year Apprentice, for the Shipley-based contracting arm of Bagnalls, recently took part in the regional heats for the PDA (Painting and Decorating Association) Apprentice Trainee Award 2019. He has received notification from Neil Ogilvie, Chief Executive of the PDA that he is one of this year’s Apprentice prize-winners. Lewis will have to wait until the presentation ceremony on Thursday 4th July to find out the final result. The PDA annual awards, held at the Plaisterers’ Hall in London, celebrate not only the achievements of apprentices but also the projects delivered by skilled members of the painting and decorating trade.
Lewis has a great pedigree, with recent wins including PDA Paperhanger winner (Junior section) 2018 and PPG Johnstones’ Central region winner, 2019. He has also been nominated to be a PPG Trade Ambassador and for the CITB Apprentice of the Year awards. We wish him all the best not only for the big day in July but also for his career at Bagnalls.
