Bagnalls apprentice Lennie, received a merit for his work at his local Skillbuild heat, held in Brighton, last week.
Lennie, is in the first year of his apprenticeship and has shown promise and enthusiasm from the start. There are 10 spaces in the Final and who has achieved one of these much-prized places has still to be announced.
Lennie was supported on the day by Karen Wyatt, from North Kent College, where Lennie undertakes his formal painting and decorating training as part of his apprenticeship. She said “The design was complex, and although stressful, Lennie proved himself worthy of his merit by completing the whole piece in the time given.”
