Bagnalls applied a Sandtex Extreme Exposure specification to provide a protective coating for this former Public House, built circa 1906. This Grade II listed building, now a Burger King, is situated opposite Cardiff Castle and had to be fully scaffolded to deliver the project safely. We worked closely with the client to ensure the colours they required were exact, a light grey was used on the main walls with a dark grey to pick out the features of the windows and surrounds. The new colour scheme chosen was from the Sandtex Trade Heritage palette and has resulted in a much more striking finish to this prominent fast-food business.
During the project, we had the added challenge of working during the COVID-19 pandemic local restrictions, this meant ensuring that all our operatives were working in a Covid-secure manner, adhering to the company’s COVID-19 risk assessment and implementing the additional safe systems of work including: enforcing cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance, wearing of additional PPE and taking all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace for both our own worker’s safety and that of the wider public.
Our competent site team completed the redecoration project within the three-week programme required to the immense satisfaction of the customer.
