Well Done George

30 November 2021

One of our London apprentices was presented with a commendation by the Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) at a recent Gala evening held in Liverpool! George was one of several apprentices recognised for their wallpaper hanging skills at the event. Eighteen apprentices in total took part in the 2021 Apprentice Paperhanger of the Year competition, held at The Hub in Doncaster in June.

George was the recipient of the Judges’ Achievement and Commendation in the senior category, saying: “It was an honour and a privilege to receive an award from the PDA, especially for wallpapering and I would like to thank Bagnalls for the training and support I have received to help me complete my apprenticeship.”

PDA Chief Executive, Neil Ogilvie added: “Our Apprentice Paperhanger of the Year competition offers apprentices the chance to share their experiences, demonstrate their skills and network with their peers.

“George has demonstrated a commitment to the craft, an eye for detail and a quality application of the skills he has have been learning as part of his apprenticeship.”
