A Knockout Success for Fazakerley Boxing Club

Bagnalls recently jumped in the ring to help refurbish Long Lane Amateur Boxing Club, a local sports club and community hub!

Together with BAM NW and local NHS staff, the Bagnalls team rolled up their sleeves and helped to redecorate the building, which has provided boxing training and community wellbeing sessions for youngsters from the age of eight upwards since 1971. The team’s decorative maintenance work ensures the facility can continue to be used to benefit the community for many years to come. Companies local to the club also donated £1,550 for new equipment for the club.

Ged Moran, who runs the club on a voluntary basis, explains: “We can’t thank those involved enough. They’ve done a fantastic job, the club has a fresh new look and the changing facilities have been completely revamped. This boxing club is at the heart of the community and makes a real difference to young people’s lives; the donation will allow us to continue to work with them and give them a positive experience that not only improves fitness and discipline but also builds life skills as well.”
