Did you know that each year in the UK, an estimated 55 million litres of paint is sent to landfill or incineration?
As part of our Painting a Greener Future initiative and our sense of environmental responsibility as a company, we proudly supply unused paint from our projects to Paint360 for recycling. But how does the paint recycling process work?
After leftover paint is dropped off at Paint360’s dedicated recycling centre, paint is sorted by type and colour and cans are opened, stirred and checked for quality. The paint then goes through a re-engineering process at the bespoke-built facilities from Paint360’s team, which aims to employ young people facing barriers to employment to help give them a step on the career ladder. The resulting paint is quality-checked and placed into 100% recycled cans ready for sale.
