Our key advantage lies in the people we employ, train and develop. We have over 600 directly employed people made up of apprentices, skilled operatives, foremen, project management staff, and senior managers.
Our commitment to apprenticeships is well known in our industry. Our apprentice recruitment policy ensures that we have an ongoing pool of talent being introduced in to our business each year. This is evidenced further by our membership to The 5% Club, a commitment to having at least 5% of the total workforce recruited through apprenticeships and graduate programmes.
This, along with our Management Trainee Programme helps build teams of people who buy into the Company’s values from early in their careers, and who continue to uphold high standards as they progress into more senior positions.

We regularly receive customer testimonials commending the workmanship and helpfulness of individual employees, some of whom are specifically requested to be assigned on future projects undertaken for the customer. We can demonstrate long lengths of service at all levels in our business which bears testament to the high level of employee engagement and loyalty fostered by the firm.
Our investment, many years ago, in a bespoke Training Academy, which simulates real site conditions, is proving to be a valuable training ground for apprentices to supplement the skills learnt at college. It is also an excellent facility for improving the skills and knowledge of our operatives when new products are introduced in the market. Product trials are also undertaken at the academy in support of our supply chain relationships and to drive specification improvements for our customers.
