University of Warwick

01 September 2016

Bagnalls has had the measured term contract for painting and decorating work at the University of Warwick for several years. The University is highly rated as one of the leading centres for research excellence in the UK and therefore attracts interest from local businesses, students and academia.

A dedicated team of painters is assigned to the University throughout the year to ensure the buildings are kept clean and fresh at all times.  A programme of work is agreed with the Estates Department to ensure there is minimal disruption to the day-to-day running of the University.  During holiday periods the site team is supplemented with additional Bagnalls’ personnel to complete larger projects such as lecture theatres in tight timescales.

We have decorated the external of the Arts centre, which is the largest arts centre in the Midlands, attracting 300,000 visitors each year as well as the internal redecoration of Butterworth Hall.  Other projects include the external decoration of the Students’ Union building and Coventry House, both projects included for the washing down and application of Keim Granital solution to the forticrete block work.

In 2015, we worked across the whole campus to make sure that the university looked in tip top condition, when it celebrated its 50th anniversary with many prestigious visitors, including HRH Princess Anne.
