We employ around 650 people in a range of site and office roles. Apprentices are key to our people development strategy, with around 12% of our colleagues currently on an apprenticeship.
People development is a key value of ours. We offer opportunities for those who demonstrate the right behaviours to progress their careers with us and be promoted to more senior roles. The results of this approach are clear to see:
- Our average length of service for all employees is 9.5 years.
- Two members of our Board of Directors joined Bagnalls as apprentice painters.
- Three-quarters of our Branch Managers joined Bagnalls as apprentices or management trainees.
- Over 30% of our colleagues are current or former apprentices.
- 70 of our colleagues have over 25 years of service with Bagnalls.
- 98% of our office staff said Bagnalls was a good company to work for in our 2022 employee survey.
