Bagnalls Completes Redecoration Work for Ditton Park Academy

Ditton Park Academy is a mixed, mainstream secondary school and sixth form, with students ranging from ages 11-19. Bagnalls was commissioned to complete some internal decoration works for the academy, including the main hall, various corridors and the drama space.
The academy trusted our experienced team to create refreshed spaces that inspire and foster learning. Our Contracts Manager selected the most suitable products for the job, ensuring that all areas achieved a high-quality finish, while also remaining durable and hard-wearing. All painted surfaces needed to be capable of withstanding a rigorous cleaning regime.
A dedicated team of painters from our London branch completed the work in just two weeks, during the summer break. This ensured minimal disruption for both students and staff.
All areas were thoroughly cleaned and prepared before our team applied Dulux Eggshell in various colours, matching the existing colour scheme used within the school.
Our operatives have achieved Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association (PASMA) certifications, allowing them to use tower scaffolds safely. They also have International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) training, enabling the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPS), as well as further training on working at height.
The fact that our team members are trained to this high standard allowed them to utilise a wide range of access equipment to safely reach the height of the walls and ceilings within the academy’s main hall.
We ensured high safety standards throughout this project by creating bespoke risk assessments and method statements. These were communicated to our team at a site induction held by our Contract Manager prior to the commencement of the project.
Bagnalls completed this project to a high-quality standard within the required timescale and exceeded the customer’s expectations. The feedback we received from the staff at the academy was extremely positive:
