Ellie, like Stephen, is fifth generation of the Bagnalls family.  She joined the company in 2011 as Management Development Coordinator and has proven herself to be an inspiration in the leadership and management of the company’s most important asset – our people.

Ellie oversees our award-winning apprenticeship programme for around 80 employees.  Naturally many of these are painting and decorating apprentices, as well as all Management Trainees who do not have a relevant degree.  Ellie’s promotion of apprenticeships has increased the recruitment of apprentices across the group in support services such as sales, administration and IT.  Ellie has worked with colleagues to identify future talent and nominated apprentices for awards resulting in numerous individual wins.

Ellie sits on the Education and Training Committee of our Trade Body, the Painting & Decorating Association (PDA).  She also represents Bagnalls as a multi-regional employer of the Apprentice Ambassador Network.

Ellie has embedded the company’s commitment to people development, broadened our engagement with the local communities in which we work and encouraged diversity and equality across the business nationwide.  When not working, Ellie enjoys spending time with family and friends, goes to the theatre, and likes baking lots of delicious cakes.
