Paint Donation for the Mwabi Institute in Africa

01 November 2012

Bagnalls has donated paint destined for a secondary school project, the Mwabi Institute, in Malawi, over 8,000 miles away. Bagnalls responded to the request of Wishart Malinga, a native of Malawi in South-East Africa, who is currently resident in York, where he works as a psychiatric nurse. Wishart’s longstanding dream to start a secondary school was realised 5 years ago, using his own money and donations and loans from friends, colleagues and acquaintances. Wishart said “The generous donation of paint from Bagnalls will be used to decorate school buildings and since there is a strong community element in our vision, any spare paint will be used in the immediate surroundings to enhance the lives of people in the area. This could take the form of a project using school pupils to decorate the interiors of elderly residents’ traditional wood and mud homes.” For further information of this commendable project, go to their website: www.mwabi-institute.org.uk
