Our Favourite Projects

National Maritime Museum – historical

We enjoyed completing works on the Royal Museums in Greenwich. The final phase included external work on the central Queen’s House building and the East and North wings of the National Maritime Museum, including the impactful main entrance. The completion of this project marked the end of the full façade refresh programme, which began in 2018. Bagnalls transformed all aspects of the decorations of the Grade I-listed museum buildings from the previous salmon pink shade, to a more reverential heritage Portland Stone hue. The customer commented that Bagnalls “went beyond the call” to ensure that the work didn’t impact any events on the museum’s grounds.

Our Favourite Projects

Du Cane Court – high end residential

Bagnalls completed phase 1 external decorative maintenance at Du Gane Court in Balham. The late 1930s art deco block consists of 676 apartments and over two miles of corridors. The project involved a host of external repair and decorative requirements. Our directly employed team possess the necessary decorative maintenance skills, making Bagnalls the perfect choice as the Principal Contractor on this project. Full scaffold was required with safety and security managed very closely. Resident liaison from our dedicated and consistent Site Manager was a key component of this complex 14-week project, ensuring everything went smoothly. The managing agent praised the impressive communication and project delivery of our Contract and Site Management team, as well as the excellent quality of work.

Our Favourite Projects

G4S Education – internal and external redecoration and associated works

Bagnalls has successfully tendered with G4S for the delivery of multiple annual decorative schemes for Tower Hamlets Schools. Summer decorative maintenance works take place at approximately 20 school sites over a five-week period. The contract includes internal and external decorations, flooring replacement, ceiling replacement and coordination of access scaffolding. In collaboration with the individual school’s principal and G4S’s regional managers, Bagnalls coordinates, collates and agrees colour schemes and the specific flooring schedule specific to each educational environment. The planning and management of a multi-site contract delivery such as this is no mean feat. For each of the 5 years, Bagnalls has always completed the works on programme, to budget and without compromising on safety or quality standards.
