Bagnalls Continues Long-Standing Relationship With Porthaven Care Homes

Porthaven Care Homes provides safe, secure and specialist care for residents throughout the UK via its network of more than 23 care homes. Bagnalls is very proud of the work that we have completed for this wonderful company to date.

Our team was recently commissioned to complete a number of internal redecorations for Penhurst Care Home in Chipping Norton, an area of the Cotswolds that is famous for its outstanding natural beauty.

Works took place on the ground floor communal corridors and the lounge area. The team was able to deliver all works to our usual high standard while the care home remained fully operational, with residents occupying both their private rooms and communal spaces.

As always, we planned our work carefully to ensure the highest health and safety standards. Full property protection measures were utilised to ensure the safety of residents at all times and minimise disruption. The team ensured that all work areas were segregated and relevant diversions were put in place.

Our Contract Management team pre-agreed a weekly schedule with the care home management, with all staff and residents notified in advance of the works commencing to ensure that no undue stress was caused.

Bagnalls’ Site Supervisor liaised daily with the Porthaven Care Home Manager to make sure that our programme could be coordinated around any events or other considerations. All Bagnalls site personnel are fully trained in customer care, safeguarding, working in occupied premises and working within the homes of the elderly or vulnerable people.

We’re thrilled to have been able to give this lovely care home an internal refresh, and we hope the staff and residents are pleased with our work!
