17 June 2024
We’re thrilled to announce that Bagnalls has been awarded an Order of Distinction by The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). This prestigious title marks our achievement of 15 consecutive Gold Awards, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to health and safety excellence.
Our core values incorporate safety, further highlighting our dedication to ensuring safe practices on site at all times, as well as the health and wellbeing of our entire Bagnalls family.
The esteemed RoSPA Awards programme, the largest and most impactful of its kind, is currently celebrating its 68th year. The RoSPA Awards reward companies with an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in health and safety practices across all projects.
With over 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries, the RoSPA Awards impact over seven million employees every year.
Entrants to the awards can seek non-competitive excellence recognition, or the chance to claim a competitive title across 32 industry sectors. The RoSPA Awards provide an unparalleled opportunity to stand among leading businesses shaping safer, healthier workplaces.
Our Head of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ), Becky Slater comments: “Quality health and safety practices are central to what we do at Bagnalls. We take great pride in our commitment to safety and all of our operatives undergo extensive training before arriving on site.
“Every member of our team, from our apprentice painters to our experienced operatives, is regularly assessed to ensure that each individual holds the relevant competencies to deliver all projects safely. Any specialist training, such as understanding how to safely use mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs), is planned into training schedules and delivered prior to the use of the equipment on site.
“We also have regular safety awareness and training days, ensuring that all of our painters and decorators are aware of the latest health and safety practices.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director said, “Workplace accidents don’t just pose financial risks and operational disruptions, they significantly impact an individual’s quality of life. This is why acknowledging and rewarding excellent safety performance is vital.
“We congratulate Bagnalls for winning a prestigious RoSPA Award and showing an unwavering commitment to keeping employees and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”
We’re extremely proud to have achieved 15 consecutive Gold RoSPA Awards. Our whole team will always continue to prioritise the best health and safety practices within the workplace, ensuring that everyone remains protected during a project.
