Bagnalls Redecorates Euston Station’s VIP Lounge

We recently completed a full redecoration of Euston Station’s VIP lounge for Avanti West Coast.

UK train operating company Avanti West Coast is owned by FirstGroup and Trenitalia. Avanti operates the West Coast Partnership, providing rail passenger services for a number of major rail terminals, including London Euston, Birmingham New Street, Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool Lime Street.

Last year, Bagnalls successfully completed painting programmes across 22 of the Avanti stations. In comparison, this redecoration project was relatively straightforward!

As with all of our projects, we put bespoke plans in place to achieve all the required painting work within a tight one-week schedule. As the lounge was closed to passengers during the painting process, it was essential that all works were completed to a high standard and on time.

A team of two of our experienced painters used a range of Dulux Trade paints to refresh the space. We used contemporary colours to rejuvenate the look of the lounge. Our colour scheme features brilliant whites, accented by deep blues and mustard yellows to achieve aesthetic impact.

Limitations regarding parking and storage of materials were present in order to ensure the safety of the public in the busy central London station. To work with these restrictions, we planned a safe route for transportation of the paint, materials and access equipment needed. Our route stretched from the station’s underground car park, through to the VIP lounge area. This planning allowed us to avoid causing hazards to the general public and staff.
