Bagnalls Wins Construction Apprenticeship Employer of The Year 2025!

Following our recent awards success, Bagnalls is proud to have achieved another notable title: Construction Apprenticeship Employer of The Year 2025!
The Construction Apprenticeship Awards 2025 recognise excellence and notable achievements within the UK construction apprenticeship sector. Aiming to bring a spotlight to individuals and organisations who champion apprenticeships, in order to encourage more growth and investment within the sector, the awards champion those who play a vital role in shaping the future of construction apprenticeships.
Our brilliant apprenticeship programme has been recognised for its unwavering commitment to apprentice development and the way in which it nurtures young talent. Allowing apprentices to ‘earn while they learn’, our scheme opens up further opportunities for those who want to realise their earning potential and progress their career skills at the same time.
Many of our apprentices are award-winning, and often go on to fulfil roles at Bagnalls once fully qualified. 38% of current colleagues began their painting and decorating career as apprentices and chose to stay with us – a testament to our supportive, positive culture.
We’re also proud to have so many apprentices who have gone on to reach senior management roles, with 15% of our current senior team starting out as talented apprentices.
Our Group Managing Director, Stephen Bagnall, commented: “It’s fantastic news that Bagnalls has received this prestigious title. With investment in our people acting as one of our core company values, it’s achievements like this that really stand out.

All of our apprentices also have access to bespoke learning and training opportunities at the company’s Apprentice Academy in Doncaster. Bagnalls’ HR and Learning Development Advisor, Kirsty Stokes, had this to say: “The Apprentice Academy is a fantastic addition, allowing our apprentices to develop and expand their skillset.
“Providing young talent with the chance to practice their abilities and get involved with genuine client work, the Academy is a brilliant asset. It’s these kinds of additions that help us stand out from the crowd and make us such a fantastic apprentice employer.”
Our Group Marketing Director, Joanne Gualda, said: “The whole Bagnalls team is thrilled to have achieved this wonderful title. We were told that our passion for apprentices and drive to push the next generation of talent to achieve their full potential really shone through!
