Concrete Pad Installations For T Allen Engineering
22 January 2024
Bagnalls civils division has supported our long-term customer T Allen Engineering Services across the Midlands predominantly on Severn Trent Water (STW) sites. Working with T Allen we undertake the excavation and breaking out of existing surfaces and installation of new concrete pad foundations to enable lifting jibs to be mounted onto a reinforced concrete base.
The projects require our civils team to break out and excavate existing surfaces to a specified size and depth subject to the working load limit (WLL) of the equipment being installed, installation of two nested layers of mesh reinforcement and casting of C28/C35 concrete, ensuring we meet the customers specification reassuring them that Bagnalls are fully aware and capable of meeting their high site standards.
We work alongside the customer to ensure that we programme our works effectively so that installation of the lifting equipment can follow on from our works seamlessly, often planning in multiple site locations in a consecutive manner.
Due to the many constraints on these sites, often working close to utility assets, specialist tools and trained teams are deployed. Consideration is always given to the local habitat and safety concerns. We therefore produce both environmental and safety risk assessments in order to assess and minimise our impact on the environment and ensure a safe working environment for our site team as well as future users’ access requirements to the installations.
