The 5% Club: Our Platinum Membership!

Bagnalls is thrilled to share that we have officially achieved Platinum-accredited membership with The 5% Club. This award acknowledges our continued employee development, as delivered via various ‘earn and learn’ initiatives, including our apprenticeship provision.
The Platinum accreditation is the top tier of The 5% Club’s membership scheme and was introduced to mark the Club’s 10th anniversary earlier this year. In order to become a Platinum member, we had to retain our Gold membership for three consecutive years and have at least 10% of our workforce ‘earning and learning’. We achieved this status via our fantastic apprenticeship scheme, which helps young talent gain access to the industry.
From over 180 businesses, we were selected as one of only 30 employers to meet the Platinum standard. Bagnalls is officially in the top 3% of The 5% Club’s prestigious top-level performers!
We joined The 5% Club because we’re committed to the development of everyone within our Bagnalls family and we’re proud of our investment in staff training. We support The 5% Club’s mission to highlight companies that take positive action for increased, inclusive and accessible workplace training for all.
The 5% Club’s Employer Audit Scheme identifies those companies eligible for Platinum membership by validating the employer’s activities, exploring their future plans for development and examining their approach to quality, social mobility, diversity and inclusion.
Mark Cameron OBE, Chief Executive of The 5% Club, says that the efforts and achievements of all 900 employers who hold a membership with them are to be applauded. He further comments that “the 3% who have achieved Platinum level membership represent the very best of our movement and of those employers offering ‘earn and learn’ opportunities.”
