Oliver, a sixth generation member of the Bagnalls family, joined the company in 2024 after building a successful career in professional financial services. A chartered accountant, he spent almost 10 years working in audit and advisory roles with owner managed businesses across the North of England. During this time, he gained extensive experience helping business leaders navigate financial challenges, identify opportunities for growth and make informed strategic decisions.
As Group Finance Director, Oliver is responsible for overseeing the financial management of the business, ensuring robust controls, effective governance and clear financial insight to support decision making across the company. Working closely with the leadership team, he helps develop financial reporting insights while maintaining the strong financial foundations that have supported Bagnalls for generations.
Oliver enjoys working with colleagues across the business to understand the wider operational picture and believes that finance should play an active role in supporting people, performance and long term success. He is passionate about building strong relationships and providing practical, commercially focused guidance that helps teams achieve their goals.
Outside of work, Oliver is an avid sports fan and can often be found following cricket, rugby and football, as well as spending time with family and friends.
