Paul has over 30 years’ experience working for Bagnalls, starting his career as a Management Trainee in 1989. Over the years, Paul has delivered numerous successful projects including new build painting contracts at Southmead Hospital and the University of West of England (UWE) as well as delivering maintenance redecoration projects for South Western Railway and the National Trust. He became a Main Board Director in 2006 and continues to lead the teams in Bristol, Cardiff and Erith.
Paul is also known as the “petrolhead” in the company with his broad knowledge of cars and vans. He ensures that we stay abreast of the changing pace of environmental considerations as we move our fleet from diesel to electric, hybrid and other alternative fuel options. He has also supported the Avon Construction Training Group, as Chair, for 15 years, a small, CITB supported business providing training solutions for local SMEs in the Bristol area.
As Manager and now Director of the Bristol branch, Paul was even his father’s boss at one point as his dad Roy also worked for Bagnalls, initially as a painter and then later as a Contracts Manager, for over 40 years. In his spare time Paul likes to play football, watching his daughter play netball and go caravanning.
