Stephen is proud of the Company’s rich heritage and, as the great, great grandson of the founder and custodian of the fifth-generation family firm, encourages colleagues to be proud of the reputation behind the Bagnall name. Stephen’s leadership is charismatic and engaging. His morals, values and ethics are solid and are wholly reflected in the way the business is managed. He has a genuine and empathic approach to people and empowers colleagues to do the right thing and go that extra step to provide excellent service to our customers.
Stephen has a hands-on approach and leads from the front. He regularly visits work sites to engage with painters and managers and recognises individuals with personal messages of thanks when they have delivered exceptional customer service.
He encourages innovation and new ways of thinking so that the company continues to evolve for future generations and is a firm believer in the company’s investment in people through our apprenticeship and Management Trainee programmes.
For leisure, Stephen enjoys long distance running, having completed 8 marathons over the years in various countries. He also enjoys walking with his three Australian labradoodles.
