Jacksdale Primary School Benefits from Community Paintbrush

29 June 2026

Bagnalls is proud to donate paint and a team of volunteers to Jacksdale Primary School in Nottinghamshire in order to refresh the Key Stage One (KS1) entranceway.

This project was made possible thanks to our Community Paintbrush scheme – our initiative created to help improve the communities we work in, at no extra cost to those who need a helping hand.

The Jacksdale Primary project was completed in collaboration with Ashfield District Council – one of our East Midlands customers, who work regularly with our Doncaster branch.

Once our operatives completed the KS1 entranceway, they also repainted the school’s Reading Area, creating a comfortable, tidy place for the students to enjoy their books.

Bagnalls received these lovely comments from Jacksdale’s Headteacher, thanking us for our help in refreshing the look of the school, making it into a more welcoming area for students and staff alike:

“Thank you so much for donating so much paint and labour time – our KS1 entrance area is so much better and fresher. The Reading Hub has also been changed for the better and the hall is in progress!

“The two painters Bagnalls sent down to complete the work have been so pleasant to have in the school. I wanted to acknowledge all of their work and the way that they have been while they have been here with us.”

These wonderful comments also appeared in the school’s newsletter, which was fantastic to see! We’re so glad we were able to help the school. Discover our other Community Paintbrush projects.
