Bagnalls Wins Best Apprenticeship in Construction Award!

31 May 2024

Bagnalls is delighted to have won the Best Apprenticeship in Construction award at the inaugural Apprenticeship Guide Awards 2024 this May. These awards were developed to celebrate excellence in the apprenticeship space, from employers to training providers and beyond.

Our HR Director, Ellie Jobes, accepted the award at the ceremony in Manchester. It was received in recognition of the success of our Level 2 Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship, which has helped develop the skills of many young people within Bagnalls in recent years – including an increasing number of female apprentices.

Ellie proudly commented: “This award is a real achievement to Bagnalls and testament to all the hard work that everyone puts in to support all of our apprentices every day. I want to say a big thank you to the whole of the Bagnalls family for all of their efforts!

“We take great pride in the fact that we provide an inclusive apprenticeship, welcoming applicants from a wide range of backgrounds. We provide the stability and support needed for young people to kickstart their careers in the painting and decorating industry.”

Chair of the Apprenticeship Guide Awards judging panel, Lucy Hunte, said: “As Head Judge, I had the privilege of reading and evaluating the applications for the first-ever Apprenticeship Guide Awards. It was both an honour and a joy to witness the outstanding contributions of individuals and teams across the categories, each exemplifying excellence and innovation in the apprenticeship sector.

“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Apprenticeship Guide team for organising such a spectacular evening – it is events like these that inspire us all to strive for excellence.”

We had a fantastic time celebrating our win at the awards ceremony! A huge thank you to all of our apprentices – we couldn’t have achieved this without your dedication and talent.
