Bagnalls welcomed Paul Andrews, Managing Director of Family Business United (FBU), to the Head Office in Shipley today, with representatives from PWC and Close Brothers. The welcome visitors spent time with our Managing Director, Stephen Bagnall, to find out more about the five generations of the Bagnalls family that have managed and worked in the company. Our history spans more than 140 years and is filled with accounts of our work in the rail industry, supporting the war effort in WW1 and WW2 as well as painting the original Wembley Stadium. Stephen recounted a speech made by his Great Grandfather in 1949, when he told managers within the business about the importance of quality workmanship, investing in the business, and the company’s fine record on retaining employees. Values the company still holds true today.
Remember it’s not too late to vote for us in the FBU Company awards – there are still 3 days before the closing date, Saturday 30th April!!!!
We’ll let you know how we get on when we attend the awards in June.
