In January this year a smoke alarm sounded on a job we were working on. Everyone was evacuated from the building and a head count taken. Two of our own personnel were not accounted for and on investigation there was no fire but one of the resident’s flats was full of smoke and our painters, Kenny Williams and Simon Bennison, stepped in to help. The resident was very distressed and our painters helped calm her down, open windows and waited with her until the Fire Brigade arrived. No one was harmed during the incident but if our painters hadn’t acted as promptly as they did, things could have been a lot worse. All the residents of Blackhall Croft were very grateful for the action taken by the painters.
