Bagnalls has worked on many projects across one of the most famous sporting venues in the world, namely Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), owner of Lord’s Cricket Ground – the Home of Cricket.
The clock tower being one such project. The Father Time weather vane was relocated from its original position in the Grand Stand to the Mound Stand, when the Grand Stand was redeveloped in 1996.
Safety is always a priority, so Bagnalls needed to fully scaffold the clock tower to access the project safely. Supply chain partner Dulux Trade specified Dulux Metalshield for the white exterior of the clock tower and for substantial additional decorations to the newly refurbished Mound stand. In addition, Robex floor coatings were used on the stairwells throughout the stand to offer a slip resistant tread.
Bagnalls has a long standing relationship with MCC and over the years has undertaken painting works to all the venue’s stands including the Warner, Tavern, Allen, Mound, Edrich and Compton as well as the prestigious Grand Stand, where abseiling painters were used in 2010 to access high level work.
