Arnold Clark is Europe’s largest independently owned, family-run car company with over sixty years’ experience in the industry. They have over 200 dealerships in Scotland and England and currently stock more than 20,000 cars from twenty-five different manufacturers.

Bagnalls were recently tasked with painting the externals of the Accident Repair Centre in Newcastle with the new corporate Arnold Clark colours. The transformation demonstrated that re-coating external cladding can have a very positive impact on the overall look of a building.

Our Operatives worked competently alongside other contractors, who were delivering other building works, for a period of four weeks. All works were delivered during normal working hours and the repair centre remained opened to the public the whole time. We therefore had to maintain a secure perimter of safety barriers to deliver the high level works safely.

Working at height used a combination of access methods including, mobile towers, an electric scissor lift and a 45-foot articulated boom cherry picker. Our operatives have all the necessary training to deliver the works safely. Initially, we jet washed the cladding and then applied a Hempel specification of Hempadur and Hempathane coatings.

The Body Shop Manager at the Arnold Clark site was really pleased with the finished works and said “Bagnalls have managed the job well and we are all very pleased with the finished look.”
